New Patients
Getting in touch: If you would like to initiate therapy services with me, please review my policies below and reach out via phone or e-mail with your contact information.
(Free) consultation call: We will schedule a short phone call (15 minutes) to discuss your goals and make sure that my services fit your needs. I will not charge you for this call.
Intake: If you decide after the consultation call that you want to begin therapy with me, we will schedule an initial 90-minute “intake session.” The intake session is fairly structured and involves a clinical interview. This lets me get to know you/your child better and gives us a chance to determine how to best meet your goals. I will also ask you to fill out questionnaires to help me learn more about you. The intake process may take a few sessions, depending on your concerns.
If desired, I will provide you with a copy of a psychological evaluation report after the intake session. The report summarizes the information you provide during the intake session and on questionnaires. It also includes my recommendations for your treatment. You can share this report with your primary care physician or school personnel as needed. For example, your primary care physician may want more information about your diagnosis to make decisions about prescribing medications, or you/your child may need documentation of a psychological condition to support a request for accommodations at school. Please note that I charge my hourly rate of $260/hour to generate these reports.
Feedback and treatment planning: Once we complete the intake process, we will spend one session discussing my diagnostic feedback and recommendations. If we agree to begin therapy at this point, we will collaborate on a treatment plan and set therapy goals.
Therapy: After our treatment planning session, we will dive right into therapy. You can expect that each week we’ll do a brief check-in on your progress, learn new strategies and skills to address your concerns and goals, and process events and new concerns as they arise.
