About Me
Hello! I’m a licensed psychologist. I provide teletherapy for children, adolescents, and their parents. I also work with college students and young adults (18-25). My specialty areas include anxiety disorders and OCD, trauma, parenting, and ADHD/executive functioning. Additionally, I have expertise in health psychology and enjoy working with youth who have chronic medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, food allergy, GI conditions, obesity, etc.).
As a therapist, my goal is to help you (or your child) develop coping skills to effectively manage big emotions, deal with stress, and maintain healthy relationships. My approach to therapy is individually-tailored and collaborative. I believe your strengths, values, and goals for therapy should frame our work together. I integrate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing. All the strategies that I use are evidence-based, which means supported by scientific research. I also draw on my public health background to think critically about how family, peer, school, community, and social systems interact and influence individuals’ lived experiences.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, I have an extensive background in psychology and public health research, program development, and quality improvement. I especially enjoy working with medical teams to provide education on mental health topics and to integrate mental health screening and intervention programs within their practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, gardening, cooking/baking, music, and exercise.
